Educational Consulting
Strategy, programme design, implementation support, and institutional change across the education sector (including Educational Technology initiatives).
About — CLIxED Foundation
At CLIxED Foundation (a Section 8 non-profit organisation), we work at the intersection of research rigour and classroom realities. We are researchers, curriculum designers, and consultants who build solutions around real constraints — infrastructure, teacher capacity, and institutional challenges.
Research-led design
Teacher agency and classroom practice at the centre
Rigorous, honest evaluation
Commitment to equity, sustainability and scale
01 — Who We Are
Our team brings direct, large-scale experience implementing and evaluating major educational initiatives in Indian government school contexts. We were core architects of the Connected Learning Initiative (CLIx), a flagship programme seeded by Tata Trusts, led by TISS Mumbai, with support from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). CLIx demonstrated how to scale educational technology responsibly across multiple states, reaching thousands of students. That effort earned the UNESCO-King Hamad Prize for the Use of ICTs in Education (2018).
Today, we bring that same evidence-led rigour to policy research, curriculum development, professional learning, and institutional evaluation. Aiming for systemic change that is built to last.
02 — Our Scope of Work
We serve educational institutions, governments, think tanks, NGOs and private organisations across policy, design and organizational strategy.
Strategy, programme design, implementation support, and institutional change across the education sector (including Educational Technology initiatives).
We design and develop educational programmes, resources, educational technology initiatives, curricula, learning experiences, and content grounded in pedagogical principles and tailored to specific institutional contexts and learner needs.
On-ground programme delivery, piloting, rollout, and change management to ensure programmes translate from design into effective classroom and institutional practice, with real-time evaluation and capacity building for sustainability.
Rigorous evaluation of educational interventions rooted in sound theoretical frameworks and research design, tailored to context and outcome.
Workshops and short-term programmes on pedagogy (including subject pedagogies), learning design, design thinking in education, project management, technology integration, educational leadership and other areas related to educational studies.
Original research projects on educational quality, equity, policy, economics of education and institutional practice.
03 — Our Strengths
Strengths earned in the field — each one a claim we can document, and each one tested against the reality of institutions working to drive real change.
Our team comprises faculty and researchers with deep expertise in professional development, educational equity and quality, inclusive education, learning design, and the intersection of culture, pedagogy, and institutional practice.
Our research begins in Indian classrooms and school systems. We design, pilot, and evaluate programmes ourselves. Our findings are grounded in what we observe in practice.
We understand how policy environments shape educational practice and translate our research into actionable policy recommendations. We engage with government agencies, think tanks, and policy bodies to ensure evidence informs decision-making. Our work bridges the research-to-policy gap that often leaves good research unutilised.
We believe research extends beyond academic circles. We translate complex findings into accessible commentaries, expert articles, podcasts, and public-facing resources that reach practitioners, policymakers, and the broader public.
Each of our founding members has worked inside government school systems, built relationships with teachers and administrators, piloted interventions at scale, and understands the real barriers to adoption and impact.
We have experienced first-hand how policies translate (or don't) into classroom practice, how programmes interact with existing infrastructure and capacity, and what it takes to achieve sustainable change.
Our team members have been involved in designing, piloting, and scaling programmes across multiple states and schools. We understand the infrastructure, capacity, and systemic constraints that determine whether an intervention scales or fails. This experience helps us design for scale from the outset, not retrofit for it later.
04 — Our Strategic Focus
Beyond our core work in programme design, evaluation, and research, we are building distinctive capability in Foresight and Futures Thinking. We apply foresight methodologies to help educational systems anticipate change and build resilience. As education systems navigate rapid technological, demographic, and policy shifts, we are positioning ourselves to guide stakeholders through multiple possible futures.
