Anil Mammen

With over twenty-five years of hands-on experience in educational technology and learning design, Anil Mammen has helped shape curriculum innovation across the school, university, and corporate sectors. A former Professor of Practice at the Centre of Excellence in Teacher Education (CETE), School of Education, TISS Mumbai, he helped students navigate learning sciences, design thinking, and educational technology.

Mr. Mammen was the lead author of UNESCO's 2025 Report on Digital Transformation in Higher Education in South Asia and has collaborated on large-scale systemic initiatives with the World Bank-supported Chhattisgarh Accelerated Learning for Knowledge Economy (CHALK) project and a large-scale OER curation project for the Telangana SCERT.

Previously, he spent more than a decade as a key member of the leadership team at Tata ClassEdge, where he served as Chief of Learning Design & Social Impact. He earlier held leadership roles at Tata Interactive Systems, overseeing large instructional design teams on global e-learning projects. Mr. Mammen also served as an advisor to the award-winning MIT-TISS Connected Learning Initiative (CLIx).
